Every journey begins with the first step.  The first step to a building a new life with God is to accept the free gift that He offers you in the person of Jesus Christ.  That gift is eternal life through His blood which was the price paid to buy you back from darkness.  " For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" Romans 6:23.  "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" Romans 10:13  As with anygift, it just needs to be received. 

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus.  Your Word says, "Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved" and "If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved" (Acts 2:21,Romans 10:9-10)  You said my salvation would be ther result of Your Holy Spirit giving me a new birth by coming to live in me.  I take You at Your Word.   I confess Jesus is Lord.  And I believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead.  Thank you for coming into my heart, for giving me Your Holy Spirit as You promised, and for being Lord over my Life.
